Applications for the 2016 scholarships and grants must be processed by Feb. 11, 2016, and we are able to be awarded to high school elderly people with plans of participating a four-year university or college. All scholarship or grant applicants will be informed of their grant status by the end of April.

Applications for the 2016 academic grants must be processed by May 5. Grants are given in the amount of up to $5,000 to spouses of active-duty service members stationed at Edwards AFB.

Number of grants :  20 recipients and applicants may be in any stage of the educational process.

All candidates will be notified of their grant status by the end of July, 2016.

Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program offers three lottery-funded scholarships to provide reward Florida High School Graduates. Eligibility:

1. Be a Florida citizen with residents and a U.S. citizenship or eligible non citizen, as determined by the student’s post secondary institution.

2. Complete the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) no later than August 31 after high school graduation.

3. Earn a standard Florida high school diploma or its equivalent from a Florida public high school or a registered Florida Department of Education private high school.

4. Not have been found guilty of, or pled nolo contendere to, a felony charge, unless the student has been granted clemency by the Governor and Cabinet sitting as the Executive Office of Clemency.

5. Be accepted by, enroll in a degree or certificate program, and be funded at an eligible Florida public or independent post-secondary institution within 2 years from the student’s year of high school graduation.

6. Be enrolled for at least 6 non-remedial semester credit hours (or the equivalent in quarter or clock hours) per term.
